You all know how much I don't like going to town, well today was necessary as I was running out of staples. The only way that makes it feel better is to take some pictures along the way. This is one of an old house along the way, I posted this house not far after starting the blog. The last time I was past it looked as if it was going fall down so I thought I'd better get another shot of it before it does.

I just love this picture Bill. I have the other one on my mirror in the office.
I really like how you can see through the house, how the light from the other side lets you feel how empty and, well, forlorn it is. I think houses do have souls and it is always poignant to see one on the verge of dying, to imagine how it must have been in it's youth, gaining character with every nick and repaint, and then in it's prime, bustling with life and activity. Now it's empty and almost gone, patiently waiting for the end.
One of things that attracted my attention was the red door showing in from the other side.
