Cool this AM out for a ride up the Everett Lake Rd east of town. Lots of Pin Cherries along the sides of the roads, bears have been pulling the trees down to get at them.
Ron, Yes the bears actually pull the young cherry trees right to the ground so they can strip the berries. The berries are very tart but can be used for jelly.
Do the bears come right out on to the road ?
ReplyDeleteAre pin cherries useful (can you eat them and if so how)
