Viper's Bugloss or Blueweed

Viper's Bugloss (Echium vulgare) still in bloom found along the highways and bush roads.
Viper's Bugloss was said of old to be an expellent of poisons and venom, and to cure the bites of a viper, hence its name.

    Phantastic Photo. I didn't realize such a clear photo of the Viper's Bugloss. Only with a little
    bee drinking the nectar.
