Cool, windy and scattered flurries today. The wind chill was about -11C.
Headed west of town to find some shots, its amazing when all the colour and plants are gone there is not much left. Finally clicked in that this transition time will bring snowy vistas later on.
The pond at Hedlund marsh is freezing as the snow is coming down. A stop at the Wapus shows more ice along the edges of the flowing creek. Down by the Notch Dam at Duncan Lake the water is flowing quite good. At the outflow into the Wapus the rock wall is starting to ice.

Great Blog ,I love the pictures ! I am a Gowgandaphile (I think I just created a new term )from Buffalo, N.Y., and I've been vacationing on Firth Lake at Dave Runion's Northern Pine Camp since 1991.Until now, I've only been able to keep tabs on your beautiful region through the Sportsmans Camp blog, which is unfriendly and arrogant to say the least. Glad to find your site here, and looking forward to seeing more ! Keep up the great work !
Hi Dave,
Glad to see you here. The GCRA are still in talks about the 100th from what I can gather there will be some sort of plaque put up near the town boat launch. As for that no new news. Bill
