This female bear had 3 good sized cubs, I expect it is the same set as last year but one cub short. She was trying to take the cubs around the edge of the pit where I was standing but she didn't know I was just about to jump back in the truck.

What distance wa to the bear-family?

The bears were on the other side of the garbage pit. I was about 30 feet from them and I did have a telephoto lens too.
