Ice may be out tomorrow, maybe

The ice has taken a beating after yesterdays storm.  Wind was very strong put the power out for more than 24 hrs.  Lots of trees down all over.  The big spruce in the back of my yard has been shortend about 16 ft.  Today the wind from the north has pushed all the ice down to the north part of the lake. At the edge it is just grinding it up, it may be wide open tomorrow.

Yesterday it just about rained and spitted all day

Got out yesterday for a few more pics some of the water flowing under the bridge at the highway, really starting to melt now.  Went into Burke Lake where the water end's up next.
Then off to Miller Lake which still has lots of white ice, while walking around the bush there I found a old, old home.  It used to have a bit of cellar and all that's left is a bit of frame work poking out of the hole.  Some logs were used too.

Diabase Lake

Out to Diabase Lake yesterday wandered around the edge to get our chairs we cached in a tree.  No more walking on the ice so it was a little harder to get to them.  Took a few pics along the way.
Today more snow on the ground, not on the road.  Tomorrow is supposed be nice maybe.

Ice and cool weather still

Today we have snow on the ground again, every day is a surprise.  Edges of the ice have hardly moved from the shore except down by the dam.  A pic looking down south.

Checking out the ice on Miller Lake

Sunday out checking the ice on Miller Lake walked around on the ice not to bad but I'm sure it has gone downhill the last couple of days with the rain we got. Took some pics at Miller Creek at the Mine Road the run off is starting, looks like Spring is around the corner finally

Northern Lites March 30, 2017

Out standing on the ice in the middle of the bay to get this one.

Some pics finally

Haven't been posting lately, due to not having a boot kicking you know where, any way here is a start of couple of pics.  A couple of ice fishing pics where we caught a few pike and one travelling along Highway 65 yesterday with the lack of snow finally.
